Francesco obtained his materials and biomaterials engineering degree from the Bioengineering Department at the University of Massachusetts. He has a passion for computer technology, developed while on graduate school working on his thesis related to the digital printing and long-wavelength light curing of specialty inks. During the time of his research he developed an affinity for software and hardware programming. Currently he works for a consulting firm offering customized engineering and development training targeted specifically to an organization’s individual needs. He also currently operates STEM-Apks, an organization that primarily focuses on the development and use of open-source software development tools. He is also the creator of several engineering mobile device applications, and offers professional training on the use of programming languages and embedded devices. He currently resides with his family in Newport County, Rhode Island.
